Who We Are
Hi! We’re Stephen and Heidi and we are Mid Atlantic Offroad. Most couples our age are looking for a nice condo on a golf course. We were looking for more ground clearance.
We are a husband-and-wife team with a passion for offroading, overlanding, and the freedom that comes with four-wheel drive. We believe that life begins where the pavement ends. Over the years, our hair may have gotten a little grayer, but our sense of adventure (and our suspension travel) has only increased.
Daily Driver
We drive a ’22 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon named "Maximus". It is one of our daily drivers and Stephen’s primary onX Offroad trail mapping rig. It’s built to handle whatever the trail throws at us, and it’s our ticket to the places most people only see in magazines.
Double G
Heidi has a ’95 Jeep YJ named “Double G” for Gam Gam as the grandkids call her. She is the purty jeep of the family and loves the beach, scenic mountain trails, and occasionally a trip to do some wheeling at our local offroad parks.
Off Duty - the OG
In addition to Maximus, Steve has a ’92 Jeep YJ named ‘Off Duty”. Off Duty is not street legal and is trailered almost everywhere he goes. He has been all across the USA, hitting some of the hardest trails there are. From New Hampshire to North Carolina and from New Jersey to Colorado and Utah and most places and offroad parks in between.
